James W. Wolfe, M.D.

James W. Wolfe, M.D. has practiced Medicine in his native Scott County since 1977. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Berea College, Medical Doctor degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and completed a three-year residency in family medicine at the Medical College of Virginia program in Newport News, Virginia. He maintains certification by the American Board of Family Practice.

Dr. Wolfe has served as president of the medical staff at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center and as Chair of the Quality Assurance committee there. He is on the board of directors of Consolidated Physicians Network. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Sullivan County Medical Society and the Tennessee Medical Association.
